Discover this 1.1-km loop trail near Ballinalee, County Longford. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 17 minutes to complete. This trail is great for running and walking. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.  Parking adjacent to the walk entrance.  This route is flat the majority of the way and is suitable for the whole family. It's a great place to get outdoors and explore. It's an easy-going route that is great for most abilities, so a wonderful opportunity to get that body moving, and the lungs breathing in that beautiful fresh air in Ballinalee Forest.

Points of Interest: The Acres Pitch & Putt is part of the Sean Connolly GAA club, Ballinalee, Co Longford. It is a first class 18 hole pitch and putt course and has held the All Ireland Community games competition for many years. It is regarded as one of the best courses in Ireland.  Ballinalee is also part of the Longford Rebel Trail.  A new audio tour which was launched in November 2022 that complements the existing Longford Rebel Trail.  Available in English, Irish and French with QR codes at each stop to access the audio. There are 10 stops starting in Longford Town, Drumlish, Ballinamuck, Moyne, Aughnacliffe, Dring, Granard, Clonfin, Ballinalee and back to Longford Town.
