The eighteenth-century Castlecor House is steeped in history, offering guests a unique stay in the heart of Ireland, in Ballymahon, County Longford.

History and Heritage

When you step into Castlecor House, you'll be experiencing 300 years of history, with the house retaining all its original features and architecture, including the large octagonal Great Hall. You'll be welcomed by open fires, with views of rolling pastures and private woodland. Castlecor House even has its own Norman castle ruins.

What You Can Expect During Your Stay

Sleep well in luxurious en-suite bedrooms with grand, high ceilings. You will wake to birdsong and a refreshing rain shower or relax in a castiron bath. When refreshed you will enjoy a breakfast filled with local produce. Packed lunch and afternoon tea are available on request. 

During the day, you can explore Longford and Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, including the Royal Canal Greenway, the River Inny and Newcastle Woods. Here, you can fish, kayak or enjoy the tracks and trails surrounded by idyllic nature. 

Castlecor House can also cater for weddings and group events.
