Gateway to the countryside

Located just outside the historical village of Ballinamuck, County Longford, Hillside House Cottages are the perfect central location from which to explore. From here, you can explore all of County Longford with its charming towns, villages and countryside. You can also explore the wider Midlands region and Ireland's Hidden Heartlands. It is also the perfect stop on your journey to other parts of the country, including from Dublin in the east to the Wild Atlantic Way in the west.

What to expect from your stay

Nestled on a beautiful country hillside, during your stay you will be overlooking the picturesque views of North County Longford.

There are two two-bedroom cottages (one accommodating up to five people and the other accommodating up to four people) and one three-bedroom cottage (accommodating up to seven people). All three cottages have a large kitchen, dining and living area, with all you might need for your self-catering stay. There is free wifi and parking, all cottages have wheelchair access throughout and pets are also welcome at Hillside House Cottages.

And there are plenty of activities on your doorstep, including angling with hundreds of lakes and rivers nearby. Proprietor Sean Cassidy is an avid angler and regularly takes guests fishing on the waterways of the Midlands. This experience is great for both experienced anglers and people interested in taking up the hobby.
